Reuse Tips & Ideas Competition

Ooffoo Crowns First ReUse Champion: Check out the inspiring, innovative and practical Top 10 ReUse Tips & Ideas

The Ooffoo Reuse Competition sought to find the most inspiring, innovative and practical reuse tips and ideas. And your entries didn’t disappoint with so many tips and ideas submitted covering a wide variety of brilliant ways to help reuse things that might otherwise be discarded. Well done to you all for entering. You can browse all the entered reuse tips and ideas here.

The judges were tasked with creating a shortlist of 10 entries for you all to vote for and it was not easy to whittle it down to just 10. The standard of reuse tips and ideas entered was high but the judges decided on a shortlist with 10 fantastic entries.

Next was the public voting stage and vote you did in your hundreds for your favourite reuse tip or idea. That gave us the winners and so without further ado...

Please give some virtual applause for our newly crowned Ooffoo ReUse Champion and winner of the 1st prize of a £250 spending spree on NaturalCollection.com...

1) Old clothes make for warm toes! by Bev

During a recent clearout of clothes, I found several Tshirts and jumpers that were really not fit for the charity shop. I didn't want to just throw them out as it seemed such a waste of good material.

Sitting in the bath, topping it up with yet more hot water in an attempt to keep warm, the answer came to me! I unscrewed the side of the bath and tucked all the old clothes around the inside of the tub before screwing the side back on.

Now, thanks to my free bathtub insulation, my bath water stays lovely and hot which saves both on my energy bills and on my carbon footprint! I don't have to top the water up once!

Just make sure you check in a couple of days that your bath has no small leaks and that all the clothes have stayed dry.

Congratulations are also due to our other winners with 2nd place going to:
