July - the very depths of British Summer. At it's best, it can be truly sweltering. The kids finish school and it's the season for the Great British Barbecue. Our cousins across the pond celebrate Independence Day on July 4th, and a little closer to home, we can look forward to the annual "Swan Upping" conservation event on the Thames (starting Monday July 20th).

What will you be doing in July? And (imagine I'm your hairdresser) are you planning to keep your holidays local?!

Coming In, In July
Blackberries, Cabbages (green), French Beans, Plums, Runner Beans, Sweetcorn, and Turnips.

Going Strong In July
Apricots, Artichoke, Aubergine, Beetroot, Blackcurrants, Blueberries, Broad Beans, Broccoli (calabrese and tenderstem), Cavalo Nero, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cherries, Courgettes, Cucumber, Fennel, Garlic (wet), Gooseberries, Kohl Rabi, Lambs Lettuce, Lettuce, Onions, Pak Choi, Peaches, Peas and Mange Tout, Peppers, Potatoes, Radishes, Raspberries, Redcurrants, Rhubarb, Rocket, Samphire, Sorrel, Spinach, Strawberries, Swiss Chard, Tomatoes, and Watercress.

Gone For Now
Asparagus.

Spotlight
We'll be shining the VegBox spotlight on these fruits and veggies:

Tenderstem Broccoli, Cucumber, Peppers, Plums and Runner Beans.
